Within the pages of this novel, Randazzo takes us on a page turning, epic saga. This is beyond another WWII-immigration experience. Despite the fact that the book is filled with remorse and sadness, the reader is left with an inner sense of peace that cannot be expressed in simple words. The imagery and the depth of accurate details makes this an extraordinary read.
I have read and enjoyed many books of this genre as well as having lived through the time period. This novel rates as one of my favorite.
Once you immerse yourself in the pages of Given Away, you will not put it down until completion. This story is sure to become a modern day classic.
